Meet IMPEQ’s Service Analysis and Monitoring system, “SAM”,
Now in it’s third generation of development and successful deployment. SAM features a user friendly online quality analysis of all broadcast television and radio signals.
Round the clock monitoring
The Service Analysis and Monitoring combines the tooling for monitoring all digital TV and broadcast services on 24x7 basis, throughout the processing chain with the ability to drill deep into the transport streams to analyse network parameters, DVB & ISDB structure, signalling and MPEG information.
The monitoring tooling can be considered the domain of the operations centre and the analysis functions are geared towards 2nd tier or engineering staff.
Network operators use SAM to verify availability, transmission integrity, decoder compliance, content protection, application data (like EPG) and multi view for their network operations centre.
Typical users: • ENGINEERS • BROADCASTERS • NETWORK OPERATORS •
Alongside this, SAM supports a reporting mechanism to provide the input for the service managers and their discussions surrounding the availability of services.
The benefits
Fault assessment on PID/service/transport stream level is done on template basis (templates can be created using snapshots) alongside with ETR290 measurements and black frame/audio silence detection.
All DVB and ISDB delivery networks (DVB-T/S/C, IPTV and ISDB-T) can be served in a scalable or mixed architecture using network probes centralised data accumulation server and clients.
Some of the key features
NETWORKS:
• DVB-T/S/C/IPTV & ISDB-T
MONITORING :
• Aggregate service issues anywhere in the distribution network to one console view.
• Template based analysis with on-line template control.
