As project manager you have the task of taking on a leadership position for one or more ongoing projects. You will responsible for determining and realizing the goals of the project within budget and time constraints, with the help of your colleagues.You create a list of priorities, and together with the engineers, create a concrete plan for activities that must be completed for the project. As project manager, you act as a coach for the engineers, and oversee their progress on the aforementioned procedures. As project manager, you are the central point of communication for budget keepers, stakeholders and clients.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Propose the framework for executing projects and takes decisions regarding the project set up, project planning, management and evaluation of projects.
Writing the project initiation documents and project plans
Determining the expansion of scope of projects
Manage from a leadership position during the execution of the project customer expectations, and take responsibility for an efficient execution of the project.
Coaching and/or managing the involved project engineers
Keeping those involved updated on the progress of the project
Generating progress reports (time, material, resources, financial) for management, client, and controls the project within the budget and time frame
Manage (unsuspected) changes to avoid that defined milestones will be delayed.
Writing project management segments for RFI/ RFP
Initiating more work orders for the client
Executing the project transfer to management
